The fact these Lady Slippers are "worn by fairy folk" will make this poem popular with young readers.
I had no idea they were Minnesota's state flower.

I sure didn't know this about the Lady slippers. How sweet this is. And the little fairy is adorable. It is a pretty flower and the shape does remind you of slippers. It also looks very delicate.
It is quite a good entry for the contest.

That is a pretty flower. There are so many beautiful flowers that cover the world they should be shared more.

I like how your piece was informative and mystical. You brought out more than just a flower. You tell your reader where they are and the belief that surrounds them.

I liked the poem. These shorter forms can be the most difficult. The photos were great as well.

I love Ladys' Slipper. We had white ones in West Virginia where I was born. In Maine we have pink and it is or state flower, too. The first time I saw them, I'd raked up all the leaves in a little wooded are with lost of stones and up popped the gorgeous pink flower. They were so beautiful and delicate. Thank you for writing a tribute for them.
