You have slowly started introducing mysteries--footprints, tyre marks, loaded comments in the conversation. It is like a puzzle. What do Mary and Cassidy have in mind, what are they talking about and planning. What about mary. Is she fully aware of the mystery taking shape? Interesting chapter. Thanks for sharing!

It should be an interesting ride....the next three chapters are a whirlwind of emotions. Hope you enjoy them.

Good job of introducing some more of the pieces that will bring the hammer down on the bad guys, Carol.

One thing: "Garth and Emmy looked up from the papers..." - I think you can use "they" instead of naming Garth and Emmy, since you've just mentioned that Hank was heading toward them.

This is where the mysteries start to open up into stories and the hidden parts start to fit into the puzzle. So the cases are emptied out onto the table for all to see what they've been hiding, like a slow leak.

Hi Ralf...You are so right! the next two chapters should be quite emotional ones. And then the story gets to the heart of things.

It looks like Miguel has been cast the in the role of the suspicious suspect now, so they'll keep an eye on him. I love the way you build such an interesting plot and complicated, one would have to be totally acquainted with their characters, beautifully written dear girl, well done, great post, blessings Roy

Miguel is an evil servant of Mason along with his mother of course. I am sure my guys will figure it out...or I hope they do!

That is a start, tyre treads and a footprint - but it will be like looking for a needle in a haystack. Looking forward to hearing how the conversation between Mary and Cassidy goes! Hoping for the next chapter soon. Well written.

I was so far behind and now I am answering reviews when I know the reader has already speed past me. LOL But I am thrilled with all the responses. It makes me kind of giddy. Silly me!

You keep ramping it up! Stunning chapter--how I wish I could read this book in one shot! Can't wait to see Mary's reaction--I cringe on behalf of Cassidy! Fine work.

That was brilliant! I'm so pleased Cassidy and Mary are talking. I hope they continue once Mary knows Jon is still alive and what a rotten person he is. We are getting loads of facts together, the treasure map, what Miguel is up to, they'll know now he's a bad one, and soon they will know everything. Well done, Carol, this was a great chapter. I'll be saving you a six for the next part. Love and hugs, my friend. :)) Sandra xxx

Can't believe you still had a review back her hiding in the long list of reviews I need to answer. I know I read this one, but somehow my answer never flew across the ocean to you. LOL thank again!

I'm worried that Cassidy is on the patio and someone else can spot her like Mason or Cynthia if they happen by. Why can't they meet in Cassidy's room? It was Tango who saw how dangerous it was for Cassidy to be out and that's how Mary saw her.

I'm glad you got the old friends together and I'm sure you'll share their conversation next.

Great sleuthing by Emmy! And it's good they can track down the truck and the shoe of the kidnapper...

Comments:
Cynthia's shriek sailed through the kitchen door, (Cassidy's)
Said there was nothing broken put two barrels (but)

I'm getting nervous that you are so nervous about Cassidy on the patio. I shall install a bullet proof, clear glass around the patio so you can relax. No heart attacks, Please.

Lol! If you weren't nervous about it, then it must be okay. Thanks for that! 😊
