I guess people view the storm in very different ways. It is good that you still managed to compare the wind and rain on a stormy day like a music symphony, even though it blew off shingles on your roof and cracked your window. I would have been scared to death.

Hi Versch, I cracked the window...to open it just a little...
I love the sound of rain and thunder...how clean they clear the air...and it was the neighbors roof...you always hope they leave causing no damage...but rain can but so calming...

I lived in Florida 21 years...can't even remember how many hurricanes I have been in...7 or 8...this wasn't near that bad...and it was fast...Thank You for a wonderful review...love Linda xxoo

Yes, nature can produce some remarkable sounds, sights and smells. My husband & I love to wander through forests and Botanical gardens admiring all the trees and flowers. My favourite is to sit by the sea watching and listening to the waves crashing on the beach and rocks.
All the best Franky

The sound of a mighty rushing wind, but not as friendly as the night of Pentecost eh Linda, but thanks for sharing dear girl, I'm sorry it was so destructive. Beautifully written dear Linda, well done, blessings Roy

I like this one! Nice work.
I personally don't particularly like storms especially when there's loud thunder and lightning if I'm driving in it, But I love how you compared it to the symphony outside conducted by Mother !Nature

How true! The title is apt to the poem. The poem flowed smoothly and the picture efficiently captured the essence of the poem. Despite choosing a common topic you presented it in a very unique way. Thanks for sharing!

Yes, Nature's sounds really do it for me too. At night I listen to the rain on the roof and let it put me back to sleep. This morning I awoke around 5am to hear a couple of pigeons having
an argument right outside my window. I didn't get up or disturb them and they both flew away. An hour later they returned with reinforcements. Now there were four pigeons out on the verandah, loudly discussing some vital pigeon-fraught matter. Then THEY flew away leaving me none the wiser. What's next?
Will they repeat this tomorrow? Thing is will they increase in number, two at a time or will they double in number???.Eight pigeons squwarking and fluttering and shedding feathers all over the verandah. Goodness me!!
What fun eh what? cheers Cass

Love your poem and picture! Thank you for sharing about the storm and how you heard it as if it's Mother Nature conducting a concert for you! I'm glad your safe. Hope all the animals you are caring for are doing okay with the storm.

Hi Helen, you are soooo caring...yes all the little creators are doing well...their mom get home just a little while ago...and I am going to the showers...and melt down...I don't as a normal wake up at 6 am...LOL...but they were all happy to see her...and her one of her other daughters...

I so love the sound of rain and thunder my sweet friend...when my granddaughter was a baby...I have a cd called...Rain and Thunder...and it put her to sleep...and me as well...and the dog...he was never afraid of thunderstorms...or fireworks...

LMBO...you better believe it...I had a sneeze feast every night...LOL...
my nose kept running...and my eyes are red...and I have a wheezing in my chest...LOL...all will go away...

I keep PLENTY of Benadryl around...

the important thing is...all the creators are doing well...only fatality is one of the rats bit me...I was trying to make sure their water was coming out good...and I didn't think he was that close...I'm sure I will live...she said they have bitten both the girls...and Julia would hold them all the time...this is like her 3rd or 4th set...Joanna said this is the last set...
they are very clean...not born on the streets...they aren't my choice of pets...
but from what I understand...there are people who like them...eeeekkkkk
    love xxoo

Yikes! I heard of rats becoming very affectionate with their humans but I agree. We don't need that. Hope the bite heals fast. Alcohol and Neosporin. 😊💖💖🙏
reply by the author on 17-Aug-2021
no Neosporin...allergy...but alcohol...and I took a bit of an oral antibiotic...

they are very affectionate to Julia...she carries them in her coat pockets...but she has been bitten too...love xxoo
