Beautiful (if scary at times) way to think of Mother Nature and the storms outside our windows. Teaching a young child that it's only a symphony might be a way to quiet their fears. I enjoyed your poem.

Hi L. Raven,
Me too! I love storms (without hail and damaging winds). But just love wind in general. Love hearing it in the tree leaves and rain coming down softly at first, claps of thunder and lightning flashing, then the rain starts pouring and beats against the windows. Makes me feel alive somehow! --
Then the lights go out and there's no internet :-(
Love your expressive poem full of atmosphere and mood. I could smell the rain in your excellent poem with deep emotional pull.
Have a good week and be safe in your stormy weather :-))

"Mother Nature's Symphony", is short, succinct and deftly descriptive. Penned with craft and skill. This talented poet's work was a pleasure to both read and review.

Mother Nature does create a musical symphony with her various sounds of nature. Wind is definitely a sounds that is part of nature's symphony. Excellent use of words to take the reader out into nature.

This is an extremely creative poem! The poem flows and connects well.
The author's words are descriptive, engaging and exciting. I pondered
on listening to Nature and seeing it as a Concert Hall! The artwork is
awesome and the Conductor made me smile!

This is an excellent poem. I especially liked the way you distanced yourself from the storm, writing:
like listening [...] outside of a Concert Hall
Thanks for sharing Kate xx

"wind gusting through
trees on a stormy day"
Your expressive words and the picture you chose, put the reader right there with you in the storm. I like the sound of rain, as long as I am inside. But I don't enjoy being in a storm like you have described in your notes.

I'm with you. I enjoy those sounds as well. Hail is a different story. It does so much damage. It sounds like you had them to the extreme during that storm. Glad you are safe and well.

Mother Nature sure has quite a repertoire of varied tunes. Some are soft and lyrical, like a gentle spring breeze. Some are soothing and rhymic like a summer wind. And then there's there are the operatic overtures that spell gloom and doom! Like thunder and lightning from a violent storm! You've packed quite a punch in a few short lines. Well done.
