I know little of poetry forms. So I look for words that inspire, calm me, of give me a sense of calm and beauty.
This tanka prose seems to calm me, let me join you in a moment of solstice.

Wonderful Tanka poetry. Well chosen words in prose and poetry that flow well. You have made it feel that being isolated doesn't mean loneliness but feeling comfortable and peaceful with yourself amongst the surrounding lush green vegetation. Good luck in the contest!

Your tanka flows smoothly with great imagery of the final destination. Together both work well. I enjoyed reading your poem. I can see this as a prompt in your club. I travelled once to the Maldives and it took hours to get there and we arrived late at night, in the morning when I woke I was in paradise, it was an amazingly tranquil and natural place, but the mosquitoes were something else! Your poem reminded me of these wonderful islands, love Dolly x
