Nicely done, Dolly. I'm sure she heard your words, for" When trouble saps our inner strength" it is always good to hear from friends wishing you well. Even when alone we face adversity, if our "inner hope are words of love that give us energy, "we (can) look it in the eye."

What beautiful words of encouragement! Thank you, Dolly! I especially liked how you understand what it's like to be sick and recovering from surgery. My favorite lines were:
"But when we win we feel the heavy burden has been lifted

Beautiful get well soon wishes for Karenina. Your use of internal rhyme is great, as usual. It really is up to the patient to speed along their recovery and often takes time and a lot of hard work. It can be discouraging. It is true that a person can feel so alone even with all the support. I like your thoughts about facing adversity. With hope and energy, we can do it. judi

A truly meaningful poem that outlines what happens and how trouble is dealt with when it comes. We accept it and do what it is we have to do with the goal of recapturing the way we were again. Nicely said and I'm sure that is how Karenina sees it, as well.

what a wonderful poem about your friend. I am not sure if I know her but wish her well and to get better everyday. If we can see beyond the trying times, there is lots to be thankful for....thank God for writing so we can express how we feel.
