Elizabeth:

It seems your friend Scott finds himself on the wrong end of lots of speculation about his personal life. I'm not sure what he needs to do to keep these things from happening in the future.

I'm pleased to have been able to milk the event and eke out a follow-up! Confession--she didn't make that parting remark--Scott was miffed she was so focused on her embarrassment that she neglected to mention she was glad he was alive.

Well, at least the officer apologized although not as contrite as I would have hoped. I hope his friends throw a party in his honor. Due diligence and follow through is so important in these matters.

Sending you my best today as always and blessings for your day,

LOL! So Scott still isn't happy with Officer McDonnell! I guess she had her legged pulled something rotten by the rest of the police when it came out Scott was very much alive and kicking. I'm glad you wrote a follow up, Liz, this was such a fun story. :)) Sandra xxx

Quite an amusing story. Not that others, even more famous haven't shared his fate. Most have laughed it off, but it is still funny to have a friend endure his death and come back to life.

What a crazy and funny story-I am sure it took a bit to straighten out all the wrinkles that false report created. Thanks for sharing- this gave me a good chuckle.

Scott really sounds like an interesting guy. Well, maybe not so interesting, but a nice guy who always has good intentions. Besides some of his embellished stories. Of course, with you and I, the more fabricated the better. Thanks for sharing.

I can't imagine the panic someone must feel to learn that they have expired. How careless of them not to notice!

It's amazing how rumors get started. She should feel more than embarrassed - LOL

Another triumph in the humor department!

Once again, a famous, hilarious Liz ending! As an afterthought, upon departure, she added: And I'm glad you didn't croak.
I missed the story regarding Scott's fake death. I will seek it out.
Being mistaken as dead is better than being buried alive I suppose.

Oh, no! Reports of Scott's death were highly exaggerated. The funniest thing was McDonnell eulogizing him without even verifying that he had died. You'd think a police officer would do that. Now Scott has an idea of what people think of him before he passes on. It's funny that he didn't remember having rescued her. judi

You're welcome. I know that feeling. There have bee some times when I've been too embarrassed for words. judi

Still hard for me. Best to see if anyone else has a problem with it. I have to struggle with imagery in general, being at an disadvantage
due to poor visualization/spatial skills. It doesn't help matters that I'm
unfamiliar with the terms--rectory vs church (sanctuary)?

If I was Scott, I would frame the "eulogy" to show he was a hero even though he had no recollection of the event. She may at some time remember she had the wrong rescuer. I love the line, "I'm glad you did not croak." So eloquent!
Another fun read!
Regards,
Mary
