Thank you so much, Regina, for your extra special six-star review and kind words. I'm obviously not a poet, but this was one of those occasions when I had to step up and give it a try for a sweetheart of a person. And it appeared that I've met another of her type. Much appreciated, and blessings to you!

Oh my Goodness! I didn't know Karenina had been ill.
That is very thoughtful of you to write a get well poem for her. I hope she has recovered now. She has been an angel to me too.
I didn't understand all of it, but I enjoyed reading it.

Thank you, Sandra, for taking time to read my poem to Karenina. Sadly, she is still struggling to regain the use of her hands and is about to have another surgery, or has just had one. I normally don't write poetry, I just wanted to be a part of the "Mixed Bouquet for a Beautiful Babe" book to wish her well. You too can post something in the book if you would like. Thanks for reading, your kind words, and generous review. Much appreciated!

I read in the reviews where you explained why you wanted to make Karenina smile, how horrible.
You're a sweetheart of a man and a brilliant writer in your own right. This was lovely and I am positive it was received with a smile.
One day maybe someone will care enough to write something lovely like this just for me :) Well, I can dream.

Always
Justafan of yours
Missy

Well, Missy, I can't imagine someone doesn't write or say nice things to you every day You're an absolute sweetheart! who goes out of your way to spread kindness and encouragement. I'm definitely not a poet, but sometimes we just have to step outside our comfort zones for the bigger cause. And then, to be rewarded my such an outstanding poetress with this extra-special review, I'm honored and touched. I know, there isn't such word as poetress, but it sounds more special too me than poet. And special you are, my dear! Many thanks!

I write what is lacking in my life, sadly.
I find it easy to review your work as it's always fresh and exciting.

This was out of your genre but it came from your heart which made it lovely.

I never know what genre my scattered brain might venture off in, and many times, like you, I have a tendency to drift into what's lacking in my life. Although, I don't share as much what's lacking, just bolster what used to be to hide those feelings. LOL. You're a peach! No, that's supposed to be a compliment, but I don't particularly like peaches. So, you're a sweet and flourishing strawberry! Have a wonderful week! :-)

Thank you so much, Helen, for your kind words and generous review. Since I don't do poetry, I felt a little out of place with all you talented writers and poets. But I'm glad for those like you who have made me feel welcome to join in and wish Karenina well. I appreciate your kindness and encouragement!

I saw lots of poetry in your armchair post - so you're not giving yourself enough credit. Hope you keep writing poetry - if you're moved!

Perhaps I appreciated this poem more because I'm getting ready to have major surgery in September; but despite that, I thought it was very good. I look forward to reading more of your work.

Thanks, Karla, for taking time to read my attempt at poetry. I'm definitely not a poet, as I'm sure it's obvious. But sometimes, we have to step outside our comfort zone for the bigger cause. I just hope a smile will take Karenina's mind off her problems for a couple seconds. Thanks again.

You did a fine job in making her feel better. I'm not aware of what she is going through, but I do know that she is part of this FanStory family and I wish her the best.

Thank you so much, Boogienights, for your kind words and generous review. Karenina was hit by an uninsured, drunk driver. Besides the 50 plus stitches in her face and head, she received multiple fractures in her neck. Since the surgery, she has been unable to write or type, but hopefully soon her hands will working again. I appreciate your kindness and encouragement!

Ric,
This is a lovely poem for Karenina.
I like the down to earth style
and friendly manner you write about her.
This book of poems demonstrates how close the Fanstory site is.
Excellent work, Ric.

For someone who doesn't do poetry, I think this one turned out quite well. This is the second poem I've read today for someone named Karenina, I assume it's the same person. She must be someone special to inspire such beautiful work.

Thank you so much, Frank, for your kind words and generous review. Yes, Karenina, is a very kind, considerate, and talented woman. She was hit by an uninsured, drunk driver. Besides 50 plus stitches in her face and head, she has multiple fractures in her neck and has been unable to use her hands to write or type since the surgery. Hopefully, with physical therapy and such, she will be back to some semblance of normal soon. I appreciate your kindness and encouragement!

So vivid, I love it. I especially love the line about the tv with Twilight Zone on. The last verse made me chuckle as well, using laughter being the best medicine as opposed to the morphine. Exceptional writing!

I just hope to put a smile on Karenina's face that will give her a few seconds of relief. I appreciate your kindness and encouragement!

Your poetic get-well-soon card is beautiful and expresses the hopes and prayers of many of us who have been blessed by Karenina's encouragement and friendship. Well done.
