Emmy is Hank's wife? And Katherine is Garth's wife? Katherine has now died? I just got a little confused about Emmy in particular, but otherwise the story is very intriguing, and maintains the interest - especially because you always stop at a cliff-hanger! Well done.

Yes, they were people in the last story... I probably should have explained a little more. Cliff hangers are my specialty. LOL

Have a great day! Smiles and hugs, Carol

I'm glad that Emmy plays a part even if from long distance! And your Jon character is every bit as despicable as his sister thinks he is. I wonder what shipment they are talking about. I guess Jon owes Mason money and is indebted to him. Great place to stop as we wonder what was on the fax!

Yup! Jon mentioned a shipment to the church, and the farm got one too! And Jon is quite the despicable and twisted man... he lets himself get in places he shouldn't be.

Great chapter! I love the fact that Allie and Garth are each thinking of the other. One little edit: Give the man (a) break. You've given us good information about Jon in this chapter. I'm enjoying this book! Carol

Hurrah! I am so pleased that you loved this chapter... I like the subtle moments when they think of each other. And Jon... I don't care for him much! Thanks for the wonderful review and stars.

Pro-caliber work--brilliant thriller--astounding interwoven backstories and skillful character development. Grabbed and held me start to finish!

You're not so innocent either[?=>PERIOD]"

This is an interesting chapter with plenty of action and events I can pick up on although I don't think I've read any of this story except an earlier chapter. You also ended on a good cliffhanger, always a good choice. There are a couple of things you might want to take a look at: "God be with you, Cassidy(,) . . . " "Give the man (a) break." I didn't think women harassed a prisoner going to meet a visitor; thought that was guy stuff. I look forward to reading more.

From what I have read, it's men and women...inside they act like animals instead of humans... maybe that's because of the way they are treated as well. Thanks for the review.

Another intriguing chapter and each time we learn a little more of the background story. Cassidy is in total denial that the man she believes wants to marry her might be ready to toss her aside or have her killed. 'Back at the Winery you leave us wondering what just came over the fax machine. Looking forward to more.

I'm not giving you a six because you write so fast that it wouldn't be fair to others for me to use them all up, but this deserves it. It's all over for Allie -- she's smitten and she can't fall back out of love now. You did really well with POV and the writing. Jon is turning out to be spawn of the devil. I want to know more about why Mason is paying for their mother's care. And the shipment must be the order that Darryl placed. What could it be? What will Emmy have discovered about whom? You sure know how to leave us hanging!

Note:

$1000 a month -- I think I'd hyphenate this

I still have fourteen reviews to go but luckily not too many that say "you goofed"... LOl It still takes time though... By tonight, if I can still see the computer screen, I should be able to write.

Allie likes Garth. Garth likes Allie. Oh, oh! Jon and Cassidy do not see eye to eye. It looks like he's warning her but she doesn't want to listen. She should watch her back. Now, Cynthia and Michael are lurking around the winery. With the news about that ancient note about a vein of gold, they won't be letting up on the pressure to sell.
Interestin scenarios cropping up, here and there.

Ralf

    Thanks, Ralf

Jon is in over his head and he would do could to appreciate the fact his sister has not "hung him out to dry| so to speak. His time will come. Cynthia and Michael smell money, money, money but maybe we should watch what we wish for....

I wonder what the surprise is all about? You always leave your story in a good place for the next episode. I wonder what Jon Saladino visited Cassidy for, certainly not about loving concern, or perhaps underneath that hedonistic desire for good times, there lies a loving heart, sometimes that's the case...maybe not. Great write Carol, blessings Roy
