I picked up right away on the lawyer's statement that the only way for the in-laws to get more money was to have custody of the kids. That pretty much explains everything to me about their recent strange behavior. The fact that Katherine's boys do not seem to care for their grand parents spell a great deal of trouble for them should the grand parents gain custody. I pray that never happens.

Katherine's in-laws have a lot of nerve. Like the lawyer said it would be unusual for the parents to get anything and for them to want to take money from that grandchildren doesn't speak well for them. I am enjoying your story and waiting to see what happens next.

Gabriel doesn't need to worry about Katherine's boys. They already love him. Their own father didn't pay much attention to them, so Gabriel is making up for that. I think all his attention to them will help win Katherine over, eventually. It's no surprise that Katherine's in-laws are looking for the money, and the lawyer explains that. I think I'd make the lump sum their son left more than $150,000. That doesn't seem like much in today's terms, especially if he was rich. Great work with the characters. judi

A well written chapter and continuation of the in-laws arc. Everything is proceeding according to how your Main Characters are crafted. They stay well within their expected lanes.

Katherine's in-laws are really weird .What would they not do to get hold of some money? hope having Gabriel on her side will help her to cross that bridges.I enjoyed the dialogues and the way the plot is moving.

A nice easy flowing chapter. It shows Katherine and Gabriel starting to work together and I love the banter they share. As always, a great story. I only stopped writing for your chapter and Sandra's.... My two favorite reads.
