The story of Bob's misadventures as a foster child is how I first became aware of him ass a writer. he quickly hooked me and I followed him thereafter. His untimely death has shaken me to the depths. I quite literally am at a loss as to how I will deal with this unexpected loss of a dear, dear friend. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to all who mourn his passing. In my heart and in my life, he will be sorely missed.

A wonderful tribute to a FS writer. I wish I had known him and read some of his works. He sounds totally like a class!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm glad you took the time to memorialize his life and works.

I'm so disappointed I have no more sixes to give, but wanted to let you know how much I admired this poem. You did such a good job of reminding us all of the kind of person Bob was and especially of his first major work, Falling Up the Stairs. This was my introduction to him and my heart was also captured by this sad but triumphant story. He told it so well and lived a life that proved what kind of a man he became, courageous and strong and optimistic, no matter what the circumstances. Thank you for writing this. I loved it. MM

This is a nicely penned tribute to Bob. I've known is writing since I started on FanStory in 2009 and I think his best writing was the book about his life. I'm sure he will be missed by many.

Roy, you've written a beautiful tribute to Bob. I didn't know him long, having only joined this site in January, but I was taken by his current novel and faithfully followed it. After I began my own novel he began to review it, and I was thrilled. He was very encouraging and gave great advice. I miss him.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the passing of Bob, Mastery, as we had been anxiously awaiting his return which we recently have learned will not be the case. Many found in Bob, not only a mentor, but also a friend. He will be sorely missed by many, but his legacy will live on in his significant body of work, and the rich enduring relationships he made on FanStory.
