This is a love poem to shoes. I agree with you. I where Sketchers too. The ones with no laces. They are very comfortable shoes.

I think others rated you too harshly on this one. I see this as a great bit of free verse. You met the demands of the competition from what I can tell. There maybe be some opportunity here to mix it up a bit with the punctuation. Full sentence lines may benefit from a semi colon rather than just a comma. The coloration and imagery is nicely paired. Good luck to you in the competition.

Is this an ad or a poem? The subject matter doesn't do a thing for me. No rhyme and no meter. The last stanza, which is a very important part of the poem, is very weak.
