I agree that this story is worth telling over and over.
You did a very good job of doing that. The rhyme is good and the poem reads easily. Good job!!

Nomi,
This poem shows how sin started and who makes us fall away. It reminds us that we can be forgiven but must not let ourselves be deceived like Eve and be a follower like Adam
Kep writing and stay healthy

And why not. Almost the qualities of a limerick, in rhythm only, almost song-like.
The image you chose conveyed the imagery well. Nothing elaborate, just nicely bloomed rhymes that told a simple tale, yet its meaning much more than simple.
Well done.
Best wishes.

A new take on a tale 'as old as time' - in the book of Adam, 'God' is revealed to be the devil in disguise.

Your poem is well constructed and well written. Thanks for sharing. Later daze.

I realize this is intended seriously, per your note and the final two stanzas. The first two stanzas work equally well on a whimsical level. Fine work two ways!

Hello Nomi,
This an excellent poem and reminder of the story of Adam and Eve.
Excellent rhyming and meter, the poem reads quite well.
It seems man learned little from his actions,
and repeats the endless mistakes in the hope of a different result.
Knowledge and intelligence are often separate.
Well said.
Best wishes.

Thank you. Shame on Adam for shaming all of mankind. We are all less than thanks to this weak guy.

In the biblical version of creation, God, having made Adam and Eve in His own image, set them loose in the Garden of Eden with a simple command. .I liked the poem, the story was told in simple words. Maybe there is a deeper truth in the story of Adam and Eve and in these times we may have to read and understand it differently. Thanks for sharing.

To me the deeper meaning is that God gave the man Adam, authority over Eve. When he discovered what she had done, instead of joining her, he could have pleaded her case with God and possibly could have saved her. His offspring would have then been undamaged, untainted by sin. Adam failed us all.

This is a fine piece of poetry dear nomi. It does repeat the message the bible introduces. I do not agree but everyone has the right to his/her opinion.
Thank you for sharing!
Blessings and a larger than life hug!

Satan gloated like he'd won,
He was proud of his deceit.
This demon will be undone,
When he goes down in defeat.

Yes time and again we need to remind ourselves the story, very well said take care and best wishes!

God, the Father, the creator of all things, including Satan and darkness and what is in the darkness, did this for a purpose.
Remember what He said in the beginning. "Let us make man in our image and likeness." "
Be Holy, for I am Holy saith the Lord." From out of man comes from a man-"Wo-man." Jesus said our worse enemy was ourselves.
My compliments to you for a great poem.
