Thank you so much, Amahra, for taking time to read my silly story. I labeled it as fiction, since I wouldn't want to admit most of it is true. It was such an aggravation and draining trip that I couldn't help but share it. Thanks again for reading.

Alrighty then! Knowing I'd be away for a week or so, as of today, I spent all my sixes like a drunken sailor last night. Still, I came on site one last time before I'm off to the "repair shop" and look what I found! Perfectly written, full of wry wit and pertinent commentary I hope will penetrate a few skulls, re COVID-19, vaccinations et al. Gossip is the "other" pandemic and too bad there isn't a vaccination for that! Thanks for posting. This is just the best laugh to send me out the door for a week or so! Thank you so much, Karen, for your kind words and generous review. There is more truth in this fiction than I care to admit. It was one of those days I can hardly wait to forget. But none of it seems like such a big deal when someone we know isn't feeling well. My prayers are with you!!!

I was taught that honesty is the best policy.... so I must admit I had to scroll back up to the top of the page to decide if this was fiction or fact. LOL
It so sounded exactly like you, and I could picture everything going so well... your humor and quick wit are awesome. Another honest note here... I just finished reading Sally's latest chapter and immediately commented on the unfortunate "yuck" on her boots. Then I rolled through the reviews thinking others would have had witty comments as well.... guess what? I only found one other person whose thoughts went the same way as mine. LOL
Of course, I have had a great allotment of your humor today, and I am smiling. Thank you for always sharing that smile.

Thank you so much, Carol, for the extra-special six-star review that has me grinning like an opossum eating . . . well, you know. Yes, there is more truth in this story than I'll ever be willing to admit. You and Elizabeth with those real or almost real stories gave me the idea of sharing a day in my life. So, I pretty much just recorded it on paper and played it back. They say great minds think alike, so I'm hoping mine kind halfway keep up with yours. Thanks for all your continued encouragement.
