Looks like the rain must have come too late for those blooms. But fortunately, the plant might be nourished in time to save the next blossoms. Thanks for sharing.

Good luck wishes for the 15 Syllable Poem contest. The picture definitely showed the duet of roses pleading for rain. Your words enhanced this request for rain. It left me misty eyed. Well done and enjoyed.

This poem evoked such sadness in me. I know everything must die, but it should not be for lack of nourishment.
So poignant. The image of praying for sustenance is quite powerful.
