A very interesting take on government and politics.

I have seen in my country where people get into politics initially to serve, but when power gets to them, they become a whole new different animal.

But as you said in your notes, as Christians we are to pray for them and not criticise them.

Thanks for sharing,

Lisa.

Roy,

This is a powerful message that you have penned, my friend.
We often forget that we must examine ourselves and not point fingers at others; we all have sinned.

We are supposed to pray for those in authority; I did not agree with a lot that President Trump said and did, but it did not stop me from praying for him and leaders worldwide.
We cannot judge others. We leave that up to God. Powerful message, excellent rhyming throughout, and a very smooth flow. Thanks so much for sharing. Outstandstanding, my friend.

Blessings...Portia

Oh my. This is so well written! In this present critical age when people make a living digging up dirt about about people in the limelight, it's a pleasure to hear someone respect our common humanity. And with rhythm and thyme too!
Loved this poem

Interesting Philosophical Poem about politicians and people who judge them. I thought you were Australian but it sounds like American politics right now. Republicans are trying to destroy our right to vote in free elections. In Arizona a group called, cyber Ninjas (no kidding) are looking for bamboo fibers in the ballots' paper. It's crazy. Well done, my friend.

No big deal....You have lots of symbols in your author notes...

See what I mean? America didn?t invent democracy, it was being used long before America came on the scene, nor did they invent people?s attitudes to politicians Gypsy, we also complain as do other democracies in this world.
But thank you for your review. Blessings Roy

A profound message in your philosophical poem Roy. With introspection, I like many others are found wanting. It's like "we have found the enemy, and it is us". Thankfully, only God can judge our secret hearts.

It's common sense. Unfortunately, common sense isn't common anymore.

Well done my friend.
Blessings
Janet

You?re so right about common sense being uncommon, it started in the garden and is still going on. Adam complained to God, it was His fault that Eve was given as companion, ?this woman the YOU gave me?? heh, thanks for this wonderfully gracious and generous review and stars. Blessings Roy

Wow, now that is genius, so well written. So to the point and so poignant. I will never judge again. I do a lot of it politically, so maybe I will have to take that back. Yes, I must take that back because I loath liars and cheaters and it runs rampant in politics. It is still
a wonderful work.

It's not so much that I question politicians in office, but as you stated, I question those who voted for them. I think it's very difficult to be a politician especially a good one. In order to get anything done, bills past etc., one has to compromise to get things accomplished. In all honesty I don't know if I'd be up for that. Good message.

A very well written poem with a good satire on politicians. Excellent imagery and visuals and I love your presentation. A powerful message here.

These lines stood out. I liked the spirituality of this write.

I've uttered lies; few times told truth
so I judge not the aged nor youth.
For only God, and He alone,
can judge the heart of flesh and bone.

I noticed strange symbols in your notes probably brought up by FS editor (it does it sometimes). I am referring to symbols like these - ?¢?? - which are all over your author notes. You may want to take care of that.

Powerful scriptural references.

^his is a change from the most common complaint about politicians .You have a point .They too are human and tend to make mistake .They can be lured by money or power. Finally we only elect them....I liked it because it is a new line of thought

Thanks dear friend for posting this. Your words stand true. I hate to admit it, but I have zero trust in politicians and the government. I see so much greed and dishonesty. I pray everyday our world isn't lost. Times are changing fast and we are starting to see more and more of Gods' warnings.

Always your fan,
Shana :)
