We've been on holiday in St.Petersburg in the middle of summer and enjoyed a cup of coffee in broad daylight at 11:pm at night. But never witnessed the northern lights, and we actually live in Australia, so we are a long way from them here. Beautifully written dear friend, in great rhyming and articulate smoothness, great write, blessings Roy

Roy, Whenever you say my poems are smooth, articulate and have great rhyme, I am on top of the word! :o) It means a great deal to me that you like what I write. I live in Massachusetts in the US. I to am a bit to south to see this lovely phenomenon! Only once did I see just a light shimmer of their beauty. I can only imagine this wonderful light show when it's in full power. Thank you so much for the lovely review My Friend! :o) Nancy

Neat lines, I am amazed that although you have never seen the 'Northern Lights, you were able to render such a great description of them.
"Her movements so caress the stars," what a great line!
Read about your disorder, sorry that a basically happy person like you has that load to bear. Believe you are coping well.
The Irish ride a roller coaster, we are either very happy or depressed, often over things of little consequence. However, we always bounce back, and we also have that appreciation of nature and the beautiful world we live in.
Cheers, irish

Hi irishautherme, I have seen the Northern Lights in nature films but not on my own. It would be hard to believe someone wouldn't want to see them if they had a chance. Thanks so much for believing I did a great job in describing them. :o)
My life has not been easy and I've had my share of pain. Living in fear on a daily basis is not a life that anyone would want. Like your Irish Roller Coaster with its ups and downs I've always managed to bounce back. I would call my life an abyss. A place you fall into beyond where the light of day can't reach you. The walls are smooth with no way to climb out on your own.... but... somewhere in that darkness I have always found a rope to climb. I have never given up and have not let go of that rope. :o) Because of what surrounds me my heart wants to make others smile. I know just how much a gift like that mean in someone's life. Nature provides so many things that can lift your spirit!!! I always find serenity and joy there. If I pass that joy on to you it makes my spirit rise. I hope that whatever I write about will brighten you day! I have written sad poems but my heat thrives when I make you smile or take you on a wonderful scenic journey!!! Thank you so much for the lovely review and note! Both meant a great deal to me!
    Hugs and Smiles! :o) Nancy

Many years ago, in the 1980s, some freak of nature made the Aurora Borealis visible as far south as the Midlands of England. This is the only time I have caught even a fleeting glimpse of them. Although I spent six weeks north of he Arctic Circle in Glomfjord, Norway, it was in the height of the summer and never got properly dark so I was foiled again.

The personification of the lights in this poem catches the flowing movement well.

I've only had a mere glimpse of them myself. They were very faint and green but still a joy to see. I hope you get another chance to see them. Thanks for the great review! :o) Helvi

"Aurora's Lovely Sway", is an exceptionally well-written and delightfully descriptive piece. It was a pleasure to read and review this talented poet's works. To me this is a six, but unfortunately I have run out of them.

Nice artwork. Great subject matter. I like the rhyme, and the meter is quite good. The description of the Aurora Borealis is very good. If a person had never seen this spectacle, they would have a good idea of what it would look like, even if there was no picture.

Hi Paul, I wanted to come back and change my thank you to a HUGE thank you. We all strive to get at least a five star review, in your case I failed to achieve that. Your review was the first one I received for "Aurora's Lovely Sway" and caused me to go back and re-write a good portion of it. I really wanted to capture the magic! Because of YOU, I think the poem is much better! You so deserve this special thank you for giving me that little extra push! THANK YOU! :o) Helvi
