This is a beauty of a piece! I'm captivated by your lyrical style and love your accompanying artwork. My nephew is a minister, and he once told me that it's a comfort to the soul if you can find something that you can tell yourself is the voice of God, telling you that He loves you. I chose the sound of the wind in the trees. And he was right.

Thanks for a great break in my day.

Thank you for such an encouraging review! Your nephew is so right! You can almost sense the voice of the Lord in the wind and I love it when I hear it rustling the leaves. It's that invisible presence that whispers, "I will never leave you nor forsake you" that is so inspiring. (Of course, the root of that word is 'spirit'!)

You are lucky to know this connection with nature that is a key to knowing joy... that is a key to knowing the spiritual.... that is a key to knowing love... that is a key to knowing yourself. Being freed from capture lets you know enrapture, as this poem exposes. I enjoyed reading it and was carried along on its wild wind of delight.

Interesting take on the theme--effective use of repetition emphasizes your love of the wind--point taken in notes--great analogy--perhaps for another poem!

Wild Wind of Love

Nice entry for the Nature's breath. writing prompt contest. I like the metaphor of wind and spirit. Your poem flows well. It draws on emotions and it presents strong images.

Thank you for reviewing my poem. I love the wind--whether it's whispering encouragement or howling its rage. I feel it's always there beside me, never leaving me alone and forsaken.

Your contest entry was fun to read, Mystery Author. You did a good job expressing your thoughts and feelings about the wind. Your lines read well with great imagery. I could see everything you mentioned. Though we can't see the wind, we can see results of it. I like the repeating line. It fits in nicely to add emphasis to your poem. Best wishes.
Thanks for sharing.
Respectfully, Jan

Thank you for your encouraging review. It's a wonderful feeling that the wind is always there, whispering its encouragement or protecting me from harm.

This is very well made and could have fit with the repetition contest as well as Nature's breath.

notes:
I would look closer at this line:

I feel it part of me.

or
I feel its a part of me.

This is a very well-written poem about wind as a metaphor for the spirit and breath of God. Surprisingly, I've written, but not posted a Nonet that is very similar in concept. Well done. Good luck in the contest.

Beautifully done. I ended up with a deeper appreciation of the wind after reading your poem. I felt your sense of the wind dwelling within. The rhyme gave it its necessary lilt ...you behaved like the wind behaved.

Thank you for your compliments and encouragement, though I don't know if I'm that wild!

I think you have written an Ode as well as meeting requirements for the contest. It praises the majesty of the wind and has three quatrains and is also lyrical. It is a lovely poem. You have a great rhythm scheme and good meter. Best wishes in the contest.

good poem for the contest. the poem does show a fascination with the wild wind. The wind allows the poet to release his or her inhibitions and dance freely. Nice poem in a firm structure. well done. keep up the good work.
