Carol,

Okay, okay. I'm here. Man, I didn't even realize I was THIS far behind. I think it's like ten chaps or something! I won't have a lot of time to say much - just to point out any glaring errors and etc. This was a great one. On to the next!

You don't have to say much, Robyn...that's a lot to catch up on, but you need to read because tomorrow is the end...sob! sob! I'm working on two chapters 57 and 58... I think I can wrap it up in those two. If not there will be three....LOl We shall see! Smiles, Carol

This made me laugh:"The young officer opened the door and bowed, "This way, Queen Nancy."

"Shut up, you fool. I will have your badge too." Nancy growled, "Nobody treats me like this and gets away with it."

Ric stifled a laugh as he approached her. "Nancy, so nice of you to join us." He grinned. "Let me show you around." He put his arm through hers and strolled across the floor toward the plexiglass cubicles.
" She still acts like she is innocent. Thank you for sharing and good luck with your writings and the next chapter.

Nancy thinks she's all it...but her day is coming and it's coming faster than she thinks. I love when I can toss a bit of humor into a line or so. smiles, Carol

Girlfriend you are about to put a metaphorical bullet in MY heart! At least it feels that way with my pulse racing and my muscles tensing! YOU know how to ratchet up the tension and suspense like nobody's business! I'm literally on the edge of my seat here! OH Nancy, poor girl... Your castle was built on sand and it's starting to crumble and tumble down...

I was just about to catch my breath...

Then Peter opened that package!

I almost felt sorry for Spider for a second...

Oh! What a tangled web!

I am addicted to this story... I want to knw the ending but I'm so not ready to have the saga of Beth et al come to a conclusion!

Awesome...

It's Friday. No six stars left as usual... When I need them most!

Your enthusiasm is worth more than any stars....

I was afraid that I'd lost people's interest because of the slow down with the roundup and the interrogation... I want to finish, but I want it to be a story that when you do finish...you say "Oh. I'm going to miss getting my everyday fix from On The Edge of Deception. What's next?"

Thanks so much for loving my story.... According to the contests, I will need to figure out what the next one will be ... have no idea yet of how to follow this one... I too fell in love with the story.

    Smiles and hugs, Carol

Poor Peter, already there has been an attempt on his life, but now there has been an ultimatum. Nancy is still cool, but the light is Daqing that she may trapped and at the mercy of those that may try to save their own necks. How is O'Shea going to scrape out of this one. Well done Carol, great scribing, blessings Roy

Yes, Peter is about to come unglued...Nancy was the backbone and if he can't find her... well, I might get a twinge of pity... but most likely not. lol Thanks for the awesome review and the extra star... I am most grateful. Smiles, Carol

I love the extensive character development you've done on Nancy. We know her so well, we can almost predict her actions. How about the line, "she promenaded herself through the door?" Sounds like Nancy. I was glad when "fear registered in Nancy's eyes." Next, I hope Spider saves himself. I don't want to second guess any of the characters or story. You are so creative, I know you'll surprise us all. See you in the next episode.

Lorraine, I am thrilled that I brought the characters alive for you...Yes, Nancy was so proud of herself until...she wasn't. I hope Spider comes through and opens up to everyone as well.

this is my last day with the girls before they leave for three months with their military dad. It's sad and scary. I'll do a lot of praying and holding my breath until September. Writing begins tomorrow I think...Smiles, Carol

Dear writer, I confess that I haven't read the previous chapter of this novel. But the picture of this writing, and the beginning of the story captured my mind. Stories like this of abuse, isolation, mental sickness capture me my mind, and my anger again the abusers.

What a great chapter, Carol, and 'poor' Nancy, Lol, looks like she already knows her goose is cooked. It was no good trying to intimidate Amanda, she has nothing to fear now. I'm hoping that Spider will take Amanda's advice and spill it all out. Nancy deserves to go to prison after all she's done. Well done, my friend! Next part, please!! :)) Sandra xxx

Yes, Nancy will have to offer something up really big to get a sentence cut...And I hope Spider beats her to the punch on most things...Peter...now he's used to Nancy taking charge..so I imagine he's sweating it out. Time for the bad guys to be a little afraid. Smiles, Carol

The gangs all here except for Peter and O'Shea. What will happen next is anybody's guess. Who will spill the beans first because they think someone else will. You've skillfully brought this to a near conclusion with a very professional rendering of the facts.

Thanks, Ralf...we are getting there for sure, but we need a little more evidence on Peter, Nancy, and the rest. And, of course, we need to clear Ty as well. We will get there! Smiles, Carol

Peter's in big trouble and Nancy is at the police station. Serves him right. I'm wondering if Garth had anything to do with this pretty package. I sure hope so. Any way, this is another good post.

Somebody is sure rattling his cage, huh? He hasn't heard about Nancy yet or he'd probably be running for cover. Thanks for the review, Barbara...

How are you enjoying retirement? Hope all is well.

Oops, sounds serious in all areas of the chapter. Looking like it's time to "get right down to the real nitty gritty." Your kind and sweet nature bubbles over with deviousness that you keep hidden deep until you have pen in hand. LOL. Thanks for sharing.

You jest! Sweet, innocent old lady me... devious? Your timing couldn't have been better... I am laughing so hard my pups think I've gone crazy. I am about to enter a story that is true to form. Are you my conscience by chance? That would be something... my stories with your wit...Oh my! Smiles and hugs, my friend. Always, Carol
