Hi JayBird,

You have written a comforting poem about the transitioning from this Life into another more permanent Home. I love your lines:

"When the time comes to be over
and you must face eternity,
the world will remain, keep turning,
while we sail on, forever free."

Nicely done, Jay. Keep posting :-)

I saw a bumper sticker the other day that said something like, 'If you only had the things you thanked God for, what would you be left with?' That's a scary thought, isn't it. Thank you for the beautifully written poem to help remind us.

Hi Jay, I loved this. Yes I do hope when our time is up we can say, I would do it all over agaiy. I know for a fact that I can say that already, although I'm not that old. I have lived life to the full, and still do. I'm not religious. When it's over its over. But I've had a good run. I hope you have, as well. Ulla')))

This is a poem of acceptance of the seasons of life, rendered in this down to Earth style. We see the world continuing on without us, the people we have left behind continuing on, and we have to accept these seasons of life as a natural progression. estory

We can avoid shipwreck only by focusing on the positive. Like an anchor for the soul - faith, hope and love can keep us from being dashed to bits by life's storms. A gracious and grateful heart will not only keep us afloat, but it will also bring peace and harmony to those around us. Wonderful sentiments in this piece.

-Your note and poem
are appreciated, jaybird.
-A well written poem with
effective images that
center around the theme
of a voyage.
-I like the line about
"knowing your life was
played with heart."
-A very good concluding verse, too.
