Impressive! Rhyme and a coherent story are definite bonuses in your alphabet poem entry. All in all, a delightful tale that would appeal to a younger child (and an older grandparent like me)!
A couple of things you might like to consider before the contest closing date:
would scamper and would buzz {scampered and buzzed are more immediate, and in line with your other verbs].

This is an exceptional poem about the happy antics of forest critters. It is very creative with the introduction of things like the monkey band. I bet kids would love it. Beautiful rhyme and rhythm and above all, humor. This is sure to be a top contender in the contest.

What can I say? This poem is perfection! I would not hesitate to read this to any child. Young or old! If this doesn't get made into a children's book that would be a tragic! Exceptional!

A beautifully written peice! This should absolutely be a children's book with pictures! What a lovely way for kids to learn thr alphabet! I am 100% sure you will win this difficult contest. You even knocked the letter X out of the park! Bravo!
