You blended into that very nicely. It appears you truly felt a part of the flowers. The result was very pleasing indeed and I can understand why sales would 'bloom'.

Hi Ralf,
I love your name, 'Raffaelina' when sounded out aloud, has such a
happy and lilting kind of sound to it,( if I am pronouncing it right)
Indeed, this was a fun venture, and flowers flourished for Florist
friend, and my garden got lots more attention and spoiling...LOL..
and one can get attached to flowers...after all they 'grow' for you and around you...LOL I am so pleased you enjoyed and shared
so thoughtfully and graciously. Have a wondrous day!
Best wishes, Ronni

I love the sentiments here, many people have nothing to complain about in life as they have it all, but they are still unhappy, yet those humble people in life find happiness, I adored your metaphors here Ronni, love Dolly x

Comment from Mary Vigasin
This is simply a beautiful poem, first as a flower fulfilling its duty to give beauty to the world regardless of the place where it may bloom.
Then the last stanza the flowers remind humanity that they too have a duty to create beauty and to make the world a better place.
The change over in the last stanza flows beautifully and seamlessly with your flower's voice.
Thank you for the read.
Regards,
Mary

Hi dear Mary,
You have aced this so perfectly dear Mary, from beginning to end,
as to message and theme. So pleased you enjoyed and shared
so perceptively and complimentarily. Hope you have a gorgeous
day, and enjoy the flowers whenever, wherever.
Gratefully always, Ronni

Wow. Where do I start? Your outstanding photo(Gorgeous, and 'The Look,' challenging, intelligent, even perhaps defiant?) said a lot about you even before I read your bio(Which all added up), and then your poem, 'Only Here To Please.'
You kind of rang a bell there, I am an avid gardener living in difficult and short--seasoned Zone 4b, love experimenting with different flower species.
Your interpretation of the innocuous bloom was indeed, nostalgic, the product of introspective inspiration.

Dear irishauthorme,
Indeed, wow! where or how do I begin to reply to such a profound,
extraordinary array of comments, reflections and intuitive
perceptions, not only on this simple poem, but everything else
in between! And all of them so kindly, complimentarily shared!
To say the least, truly awed and pleased, to say the most felt,
yet no words left to adequately convey, is putting it mildly at best.
Most rewarding of all dear irish, is that 'you' enjoyed it so!!!!
I only have a small garden and lot for my gardening ventures,
and like your predicament, not in most ideal zone either, yet
'tis fun and relaxing for me nonetheless.
Thank you, most sincerely, for making my day and ringing
my 'happiness' bell to sweetest sound ever.
Blessings and gratitude, Ronni

"I'm just a simple little flower
meant to grow and obligingly please
in scent, beauty and duty all day long
no matter it be sunny, warm or rain
cloudy, stormy, cold or sudden freeze
each season I survive 'tis with reserve
to glow more lovely no matter if solo
or a grand garden of blooms like me" - so Mr or Mrs flower is just explaining themselves away here loll. I liked this. A simple flow

Yes you guessed and aced it...both just explaining themselves
and glad to be around to do so...LOL... I'm so pleased you
enjoyed, and shared so kindly! Have a beautiful day, and smile
at the flowers once in awhile...they'll smile back....LOL...
Best wishes, Ronni

Ronni, I really enjoyed this poem and loved the transition in the last stanza where you go from talking about the beauty and expressiveness of flowers to the importance of being genuine when presenting yourself to the world. There is beauty in that too. The poem was truly poetic in all respects.
