Truly excellent work! I was so moved by your well-penned piece. I can see a lot of thought went into its creation...poetry this good doesn't just drip from one's pen to the paper. It is a painstaking effort to create such emotional response from the reader...loved it! Great luck in the contest.

I think the word you want to use in stanza two is plaintive. Plaintiff is a legal term for a party bringing a lawsuit.
Otherwise very nice poem and of course image is spectacular. Good work..
