That is a sweet story, your memory of your childhood, mingling with the new memories you are making with your granddaughter. Very well written. Hope you do well in the contest.

How well you have used this intergenerational scene to bring back memories of your own childhood days. You have managed to tell a complete story with these few words - a rare occurrence and one taking skill.

Took me a second read--then I got it--the grandmother had swung on that same tire as a child--brilliant twist--this is a fine entry for the flash contest!

What a lovely story - I predict a win for you. You've captured so well the feeling of being on the tire swing, and then to discover it is grandma enjoying the pleasure is a nice little twist.

-Good artwork to
go with your story.
-You paint a vivid word
picture of the scene on the swing.
-It sounds like a pleasant day,
and a very enjoyable experience.
-I like the transition from your
experience to the different one at the end.
-Well done; good luck in the contest.

"Lost In the Swing" done in so few words offers a really fun read and even more enjoyable than a poem. I like the surprise in the ending where we learn and see Grandma instead of a little kid in the tire. Well done.

I have many memories of swinging in a tire swing by the river bank... a great childhood memory. Thanks for writing a story so it brought a smile to my face. Have a great day! Smiles, Carol

Very nice. I think you have written a very sweet generational story with only fifty words. I haven't read all the entries but I'm willing to bet that this one will be at or near the top when the voting is over. Great work.
I wish you luck in the contest.

A lovely little story centered around the joy created by a tire swing...the joy of riding the swing oneself, and seeing the joy the same swing brings to others.
Well composed and presented.
