Your story in a poem moved me to tears. Animals are wonderful beings, that can share what we feel and help us through out ordeals, with their love, loyalty and devotion. I've done animal rescue for 10 years and saved a lot of lives, some in the 11th hour. Most of the cats I had I rescued were from kill shelters. Rescue animals make the most wonderful and loyal companions. I was happy to read how your dog helped you overcome what you were going through, and brought you back to life.
Excellent imagery and visuals, and the picture of your dog is stunning. Good luck in the contest, this should do well.
