This is a very nice rhyming poem about one of my favorite things....storms. I think they are an exciting display of nature's power, although I would never want anyone hurt. Thus is well written and very descriptive, thanks for sharing. :)

You have written another beautifully worded secret of the Universe and have painted a vivid picture in the minds of the readers! There are many kinds of storms in this world and we should find a way to clam them and dance in the rain. Thank you for sharing a lovely poem on Nature.

I am not a poet... partly because I can't manage to paint a picture (like you have mastered) with so few words. I need to ramble on and murk it up with details. you, on the other hand, draw the reader into the "storm". Well done. Smiles, Carol

Every line paints a picture of the storm's progress. How powerful are the elements!
For me the saddest words are:...the birds make haste.Their homes and lives are laid to waste...One might forget although a bird can fly and avoid a storm, it loses its home and can also lose it's life.
I have learned the importance of spacing in writing. It is to help the reader to enjoy the work. If writers prioritize a reader's view they will always have a following. Kind regards

This poem tells of the calm before an growing storm. I like the personifacation of the metaphor as strobing and the personification
of the storm as stroking.
Keep writing and stay healthy.

Well, I can see why your poems have won awards. The imagery is staggeringly vivid and forceful. I really like the verbs you used as well; they are at once active and gentle. It's difficult to write a really thought-provoking poem, but you seem to be masterful at it. Nice work!
