Great tribute to the Burger King. I love that outfit and enjoy their burgers. You provide a good description of the life your family (or your hero's family) had when you were young. Excellent descriptive imagery and visuals, I love your presentation.

I have never understood the interest in burgers on buns! It is not something I eat and they don't seem at all appetising to me, but if this food was forbidden for what ever reason when you were young then I can understand the love you have now. I loved butter growing up and my Mother only bought margarine and I am now a huge butter fan and love it melted on toast! Much enjoyed, love Dolly x

It is not something I eat and they don't seem at all appetising to me, but if this food was forbidden for what ever reason when you were young then I can understand the love you have now. This made me chuckle but I am curious. Bubble and Squeak? We had a lot of potatoes and pasta but I never heard of these two. This is an excellent entry for the Fast Food in Rhyme contest.

My mom is from England where it's eaten often. It consists of leftover vegetables and whatever else you can find , combined with mashed potatoes and fried until crispy. At least, that was my mom's version...lol. Thank you so much for reading and for this great review. :)

Very good! I like Burger King but we don't have one close to where I live. Yes, the Whoppers are great. As a kid I was thrilled with a root beer float from the A & W drive-in. Good luck in the contest.

A&W is also great. I loved their root beer served in glass mugs and their Papa Burger. No A&W in our town though. Thank you so much for this exceptional review. :)

They are tasty as well as big, but alas I'm on a diet. It was fun to write about though and maybe I'll splurge on my birthday. Thanks for reading and reviewing my poem. :)
