An unconventional take on the writing prompt. Going down memory lane was unique for this one. Most would be tempted to use horror.

You've taken the reader empathically along with Edward in his quest to drink in the last of the memories of his Grandmother, her love of Christmas joy; it culminates, as he meanders through her home, in the discovery of the Christmas globe he would be able to take back with him before he sold the house the next day.

Thank you for taking the time and effort to review, my friend. Both are deeply appreciated. I think one of the hardest parts of losing someone you love is knowing what to keep, and what to part with. When you look at the things they valued, it?s difficult to let them pass to strangers.

Once at the door, Edward was a bit hesitant to open and go through it--understandable considering the reason he was there. You described the old farmhouse on the inside well.
