Happy Mother's Day, Sal!
This song, sung so well by Rod Stewart in honor of soldiers who served in Vietnam, certainly is worthy of inclusion on your list. I was not familiar with it, as I did not listen to much music during the years following my "Icy Blind Curve Encounter" (1990) because of the series of calamities occurring in my life through 2003 when my mother broke her hip and died just short of age ninety. Accordingly, thank you for introducing me to it via this post and the included video, which illustrates it well and has a happy ending rare in such circumstances. (Some of my own old friends came home unscathed, but others did not.)
You are most fortunate to have the home full of love that you do with Jackson.

Though I recognize the singers in your countdown list of favorites so far, none of the songs have been on my own list because mine are mostly from the 1950s-60s, which you might not even know existed. (Maybe I should give you links to some of the best ones, as that kind of music is rare now.)
