I am a huge Rod Stewart fan, I have seen him in concert at least twenty times. Rhythm of My Heart is certainly one of his best tunes and most of us have that longing for home. I can why this song is on your count down list.

You skunked me on this one. I've never heard it before. At least, I don't think I have... though a couple of lines seemed a bit familiar,
"Where the ocean meets the sky

I never followed Rod Stewart much, for whatever reason. But one of his songs, in particular, I did enjoy back in the day... "Maggie May".
"Maggie May" was co-written by singer Rod Stewart and Martin Quittenton, and it was included on his album "Every Picture Tells a Story", released in 1971. In 2004, Rolling Stone ranked the song #131 on its list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time .

Playing acoustic electric guitar on this song was Ronnie Wood of Rolling Stones fame.
