This is a poignant and heartwarming story that examines the close relationship between a grandfather and his grandson. While fishing is the activity described, it is emotional support for those we love that is the true theme of the piece. Great job.

Your story has a great moral about working together and the bond of grandson and grandfather that transcends health issues. I would not capitalize Bass or Catfish. Best wishes.

A beautiful, well-written story about a boy and his grandfather. There is something special about a fishing trip like this. So glad that the little boy realized just what to say to his grandfather, to help him. Sometimes that is all a person with this condition needs to get them back on track. I love he line: "when we put our hands together miracles happen."

A charming story warmly written by a loving grandchild. Fishing is a tradition I believe. It gets handed down from one generation to the next. I have never practiced it because I am passionately fond of animals. Then again, I have to admit that I do eat fish. Kind regards

It's a beautiful tribute to your Papi. Memories like this are the ones that stay with you forever. How smart the little child told the grampa to hold his hand and then could stop the shaking.
