Wow, a riveting entry for the Reborn Phoenix contest. It was totally creepy how the little girl's voice changed when she was experiencing her past life as Henry. Chilling. Great last line. Well done.

Thank you so much for your positive and encouraging words. I am so pleased you enjoyed it. The story is loosely based on my mother's own fear of bridges, which began exactly like Maria's on her first day of school.
