That photo broke MY heart as I saw her avert her eyes as she rejected his ring and him. Perhaps you could choose another title so your last line isn't redundant. Rod

Better
heartbreak now than

It is hard coping with rejection, but harder still after time together has wearied the pair of you and boredom has set in.
