This really hit me on an emotional level, it's very powerful. There is a lot of pain in this verse, but also some hope at the end. I think this is brilliant. Thank you for sharing. :)

This good poem, it evokes a visceral response. Your selection of an illustration was well chosen; it compliments your inspiration nicely. I have a question was the word deadens or deadness? Nice job. Steve

There is pain in this poem. An overwhelming sadness at being rejected. Forgiveness immediately quells pain. Try that please! Hatred is a cesspool of destruction. It consumes everyone until nothing is left. Forgiveness is the rescuer, restorer and redeemer. Forgiveness is a product of love and love never fails. This poem has typos and spacing issues. With editing I believe it will be a major contender. Success to you

Your written words are filled with sadness, loneliness and regret... things that the person fears can never be changed and desiring them to be what they are not. Definitely forlorn -- Smiles, Carol

This is a fine poem. I believe the verses have deep meaning inside of them of what it feels like for care or love to be unrequited. It is powerful on its own. Keep it up!
