Comment from Raffaelina Lowcock
As we age we linger longer on our past actions and some we rue. We cannot undo, but we can atone. The best way to deal with our sorrow is to try to make others happy or be the best we can be.

Comment from Bonnie Seach
Jesus told the woman in the Bible that it was her faith that healed her. Faith is based on conviction. Be convinced that God does forgive the one who repents and asks. Consequences of our failures are faith strengthening and God allows them to remain for that purpose. May you have success.

A fine and encouraging reply Barbara. Trust the Father with your whole heart. He gave his Son to redeem us. The greatest gift ever known to mankind. My motto is pray and obey. We should chat again. Glad to meet you.

While this poem states your confidence in God's forgiveness you retain the idea that it is conditional upon the performance of some penance. Perhaps the ultimate penance is simply being unable to touch the hem, at least not in our lifetime.

No not conditional. Consequences are part of life a part of sin. Thank you so much for your insightful thoughts. Blessings, Barbara
