Yes so much sentiment conveyed here so effectively in this one line poem about our memories and the role they play in our lives - superb use of language

"The cobwebs of our memories
rarely get completely dusted out."
I like your one line poem, very well said. I am in the process of trying to write down my memories from the time I was a child. I am finding that as I make notes, that many more surface that I had completely forgotten about. So I guess I am dusting some shelves, and getting rid of some cobwebs.

    Anne,

Yes, we need to declutter some of our memories, warts and all! THANKS for your support of my one-liner.

Our memories do get covered in "cobwebs" if we don't make an effort to recall events. My mother used to have a phrase I liked: "I am going to play Bingo today to clear the cobwebs from my mind." Rod

    Rod,

My wife frequently says to me I will not get dementia or Alzheimers since I do word puzzles and Sudoku, play bridge, read, and write my Haiku regularly. I hope she is right. I have played Bingo, but never got the same feeling your Mom had. Of course, I went to a Bingo game maybe 10 times in my life. Likely played Bingo with my friends many times before I started high school. LOL
