This is another great installment. You moved the story along well. I do not see any room for improvement. I continue to enjoy your use of space. Keep it coming.

Thanks - I was worried some might think the lack of action would be humdrum and less interesting. I felt I needed to make the connections. Glad you think it worked. Smiles - Carol

This work has reached the exceptional level

I'm glad these two young people continue to be in the story. You've made this story into so much more than just a runaway girl. Now we have the stolen drugs and the murders as well. I really enjoy your stories.

Aw, Beth - Thank you for the review and the stars. I'm thrilled you understood how bringing all these people together was a necessary move in order to tie the story together. You definitely put a smile on my face this morning!!! Smiles - Carol

Moving right along and beginning to tie things together. I am really enjoying this story. Just one little thing:

"My friend, Tyson -" Ethan choked, remembering his best friend was fighting for his life. An alarm went off in Beth's head again. --Do you mean Bert's head?

I was doing that all day yesterday - A switch turned off in the brain, I guess. LOL Thanks for catching it! It was a necessary chapter, but nothing thrilling. Thanks for the review. Smiles - Carol

It is a great chapter. It gives the reader a chance to start to connect all the dots. Those are very necessary to help the reader "fall back and regroup."

Thanks - Actually that's kind of what I thought as I read it.. it also ties things together for those who joined in the middle of the story. Appreciate your thought. Smiles - Carol

Not humdrum at all, as you say, this was needed to tie things together neatly, which you did. Anyway, one can't have one's heart in one's mouth every three minutes, or every few sentences, one would explode :)

Thank goodness Bert knows the truth, now they have to find Beth before something else bad happens to her. That poor girl, how can she possibly move on after all this has been done to her? I'm glad she has both Ethan and Rachel helping, and that Beth now knows the truth but she should never have doubted her friend. Excellent part, Carol, and I can't wait for the next one. Warm hugs, my friend. Sandra xx

Yeah - it was a humdrum chapter to me because I like the excitement but a necessary one to move forward. Guess it can't all be BOO! in the dark. lol. Thanks for reading as always and for your kind reviews. Smiles - Carol

This Page 15, On Edge of Deception, of the Mystery and Crime Fiction, speaks about try to tie loose ends together thru an expressive taletelling, progresses thru concording plot development, fostered by dialogues realistic, ends with a symbolic decision; well said, well done; thanks for sharing this. My friend I bid you a fine hello and a big thank you for continuing to read. Alas. I did have to tie things up so not too much excitement in this chapter... so forward we move. Thanks again - Carol

Oh so this happened before Maize/Mazie called Bert. What a double whammy for poor Ethan. First he hears about Tyson in the hospital and then he has to share the upsetting information about Jesse, the reason for his fight with Ty. Glad that they talked with Bert and hope our favorite PI gets involved soon!

Yes - the wheels are set in motion now and hopefully we start solving some problems. Bert knows about Beth's back and that's a big plus. It's healing but not mentally I am sure. Smiles - Carol

Nothing humdrum about this! Gripping--frantic pace, characters and interaction ring true--I am astounded you don't have a background in law-enforcement and social work. Stunning work.
