To try to talk is so good when you have problems in communicating. So glad that this issue is finally out in the open....the picture of her first marriage is certainly not a good one.

I thought it was a stellar chapter. There was this great heart to heart talk here between Katherine and Gabe and we feel that tension at the beginning as they talk out this difficult stuff but the tension seems to break at the end and we feel them moving closer to each other. Katherine's standoffishness is validated here as she relates the difficulties she had with four young kids by the time she was twentyfour and an uncaring husband. Her sexual immaturity and awkwardness there also comes off but we see Gabe being really compassionate and thoughtful and their relationships seems much stronger after this talk. estory

I'm sorry not to have been following this story. However, coming into this chapter cold, I found it easy to relate to the characters. The emotional tension in the dialogue is great and the conversation flows naturally. Nicely done.

Well, well, well, now it's very obvious why Katherine is a little backwards around a naked, uhhh, towel-clad man. It's refreshing to think that somewhere in this world there might still be one of those types. LOL. Thanks for sharing.

A lovely and meaningful chapter. I enjoyed reading this. It made me like both main characters even more than I already do. Its like molasses, sweet and delightfully slow moving.

Now she might want to look a little bit into Gabriel's past. Apparently he was a player in more than just sports. Certainly their history is very different, as revealed in what Katherine tells him. Gabriel needs to stop manipulating things for Katherine. She needs to steer her own course, but he's managing her life. I hope she tells him to cool it. Great character development in this portion. judi

Hmm, I will say that it seems like a jumping the shark moment. It's your story but I would put an asterisk on this chapter, to be looked at again later on. I know you want a Hallmark like book, but...
{"You're not going to believe this, but I've only had sex five times. I've never really seen an adult male partly dressed."}
At her age, most normal people (In America) will not buy this. Were those five times fully dressed? She never saw a Flick, or a rated R movie or a soap opera, a magazine, a picture, a guy on a beach, a swimmer in speedos, nothing. She doesn't have the internet? Was she never curious or horny. A reader outside of FS would ask these questions with disbelief. (Unless, there is something abnormal about her S-drive we have yet to see.)
