Although only one line, it says a lot: "a recollection
of unimpressive revelations..."
In today's world, it is easy to collect a lot of unimpressive revelations... we have a lot of liars, even a lawyer says "How can you believe my lie?" A lawyer lies and is accepted by the bar association.

We don't celebrate often enough those unimpressive recollections. I am unimpressed with most of my life, but I celebrate it and am grateful for it. Where would we be without chevys, fords, and hamburgers? Jeff

Someone must have been drinking while the other person was recollecting.
Anyway, there wasn't anything interesting in those stories. Sometimes boredom might be better than the alternatives. This gives room for a lot of speculation! judi

The photo is very nice. Along with your poem, it can imply that one of the couple had feelings that the date went well--the other, of course, with the empty glass did not.

Is it a case of half empty or completely empty? If the liquid is indeed vino, I will take the half empty please. In my humble opinion, a half empty glass of wine is far superior to an empty glass of whatever you can imagine.
