So many scams so little time! They really hate it when you engage but do not buy their line of BS! I did that once where the person on the other end simply would not give up after I informed him that Microsoft is not going to call every individual on the planet about a message that appeared on said individual's computer. He was so infuriated after a while, he actually told me to F off. I was amused. Thanks for sharing this info!

Yeah, I get 20 to 30 of these calls every day. I don't usually answer and they don't leave messages for the most part. Except for those overbearing bastards who try to trick you with a text message into believing they can help with your computer. Thanks for sharing.

AND, if you carry that to the next step (sadly)---I personally know a man in town who did all you suggested, left a comment...and by leaving a comment opened himself to a viral attack which allowed the site he was reporting on (which may have not been YOUR site visited) to install malware on his laptop. It's a dog eat dog hi tech scamming world out there... Soon we'll all be wearing tinfoil hats to deflect those evil beings from accessing our minds through our laptop computer cameras! Argh!--Karenina

He is someone who I have to beat over his head that calls are scams. I'm glad he did not press any of the numbers. Instead he thought I bought $800 of something! He always wants to answer any call. I've had to cancel the credit card twice because he answered one of those calls where they ask you "can you hear me?" And once because he verified his credit card number. He claimed the call woke him up and he didn't know what was happening. I read him your story to show him these are scam calls!

We do get strange calls and usually don't pick up if it's a number we don't recognize. That call you received was a real dilly, and whatever the scam was the perpetrators didn't last very long. I think people are becoming smarter about recognizing them. It's good to know there are places where you can report such calls. judi

We continually get calls from the same solar company. Willy has a friend...when he's had enough...he just speaks Dutch and the "conversation" over.
Luckily, most...Not all...calls say. "Scam likely" of course, that's during my first 10 minutes of a nap...after 4.5 hours sleep.
Ok...well, you did a good job on this post and at least we know we are not alone in this.

We continually get calls from the same solar company. Willy has a friend...when he's had enough...he just speaks Dutch and the "conversation" over.
