Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level

There are two kinds of people in this world -- those who serve only themselves and those who focus on helping others.

This is a fine poetic expression of how your transformation from the former to the latter made a positive difference in your life.

Key lines:

Giving ourselves will set us free

We must include love of others
Respect their state -- treat with kindness
Give compassion as with brothers
We mustn't let judgment blind us

We'll never know what could have been
Unless we let our spirit flow

I can relate, as I did this unconsciously until my 1990 "Icy Blind Curve Encounter"
after which, in gratitude for my unscathed survival, I dedicated the remainder of my life to helping others, and still do so daily, today.

This poem's meter is a bit varied, but it still reads smoothly enough to allow the theme's importance to earn the sixth star. Superb.

We don't own life. Life owns us. Our consciousness is created by making a connection with the metaphysical energy that created the images we form in our minds. The human brain's evolution is the only brain I know that can stop a thought. That is when we connect.

Whenever we feel a stimulus that warrants our attention, we are called upon to regain balance by supplying the necessary action(s) to scratch the itch.

We can lead people to the truth, but we can't make them think--unless they want to.

Muhammad Ali said "Service is the rent we pay for living on earth."

I salute him for spitting in the face of the warmongers. I was too naive to refuse serving in 'Nam.

Agreed, and thank you for the quote from Muhammad Ali, which I had not heard, though I knew he was much more than just a boxing champion.

I can see what you mean. Thank you so much for your review and seeing a lot with a few simple words after reading this I can see the flow the meter I can see the thought put behind which means that we should love each other and learn from our mistakes much along the line of what I'm doing with a lot of my poetry. I published a book and I'm getting ready to publish the second book and I have a lot of respect for Tom n because he's the only person who has written a review about my first book a balance blend of Blues which is available on amazon.com poetry by biography. I would like you to look deep into my portfolio and I in turn will study yours

This is lovely, and a great reminder for people who tend to get stuck in their own little bubble. Not only is it a nice thing to do to help others, but it feels very rewarding for the giver. A win-win.

Have a great Monday.

Great poem. I like the words, I reviewed my past mistakes. Many of us do not review our lives and just let it go. Let us choose to learn and grow and let our spirit flow. Great work.
