I do wonder if there is a separate evolutionary path for man's social life. If there is, we have certainly reached a milestone and perhaps a sliding backwards owing to technology emphasizing our egoic nature. Everyone has become self-imbued; we were blindsided by being forced into close quarters with our family and forgot the art of communication. Murders and suicides are up, and people settle their differences with weapons.

I agree with you 100%. This is what they call progress. But it is mostly going in circles, especially since it involves moving further and further away from God and our faith in him. "Knowledge begins with fear of the Lord," estory

A good post for the times. I figure emojis are like cave paintings, but at east they go beyond language. i know two gals who don't speak the same language, they are 'pen pals' and communicate completey through emojis...
Maybe it is devolution. We as humans are certainly making sure we will soon be extinct, and I think the planet is not holding it's breath:-)

I'm not ready! I agree there really is a sense of the "circular." They present history to us as we are always improving and evolving into higher beings. But I don't see it in today's behavior. Great philosophical post, Iza!
