This is a lovely poem. I've never written a Quatrain, but the information about the differences in line content have me intrigued. I may have to give it a try.

Good luck in the contest! I look forward to reading more of your work.

Never heard of this kind of poetry style and I really like it! I think you expressed it in a really fun way, used the words that not only rhyme but said loudly feels like the sea sounds! Yay, I enjoyed!

Excellent. Thanks for the tutorial on a cinquain. I'd say you really nailed it. You have certainly used the right descriptive words to capture breaking waves. Good luck in the contest.

Your cinquain makes powerful use of rhyme with the "crashing, lashing, thrashing -" and "splashing!" In structure, it reminds me of the diamante poetic form where you start and end with a synonym word and use -ing words in the middle. Best wishes in the contest!

I am not an expert on this form of poetry but I really think you did a great job with the picture as well as the poem. All the best to you with this contest as well as your writing.

I've noticed in England there's a lot of foamy stuff, whereas here there's not so much, been to the UK a few times, also to other parts of the world. This is an excellent cinquain entry in this contest, well done, good luck Debra, , blessings Roy
