This rendering is lovely with the picture and the words that say so much.
This is indeed a time for reflection. When one is involved in this scene it triggers the mind into deepness.

Lovely picture, lovely words. This made me so happy, I wish I could have seen a sight like this, fortunately we have gifted poets to describe it to us. Thank you so much. :)

Good job on this poem. The lake becomes darker as evening approaches making a time of reflection. Good job! I love the pictures, the lake is always a soft spot left in my heart for them.
Good job!

These are two beautfiful pieces of artwork bookending the haiku. I like how you use reflecton in both a figurative and literal way here.
Keep writing and stay healthy.

This is a really lovely haiku. Yes, some scenes in nature are conducive to deep thought. I see you've referred to this as a winter haiku. How is winter implied IN the poem?

In my author notes I explain the (season word) Kigo: Winter (Sunset/golden light near eventide)
-Sunsets are better during the colder months of the year, according to NOAA meteorologist Stephen Corfidi.

I read the notes. I was wondering how the POEM indicates winter. Thanks

A delightful read. Wonderfully written Haiku with deep meanings. Life without reflection is no life at all. We need to reflect on our social values. and take corrective measures wherever necessary. Your choice of words and your choice of the picture is equally delightful. Thanks for sharing!

Reflecting on the days events at sunset is something I often do, and I think of the past as I come to terms with the wrongs and rights of life, an ambient write, much enjoyed, love Dolly x

This is beautiful! Such enchanting images caught up in my mind, as I read this wonderful Haiku of yours. Thank you for all the information on the Haiku and its history, and examples, to show how it should be done. The last line, "time for reflection," is so true and hits it square on the peg, as it were. I like the use of the word, "eventide" to describe, the beauty in the evening by a lake, or any other place of nature. You've captured the form and its essence well.

What a beautiful picture with reflection! Just imagine sitting by the beach watching such a beautiful scenery, one's harmony is reflection in one's mind. Such a harmony brings peace and happiness.

I really like "lake enchantment
by golden light near eventide --
time for reflection."

Thanks for sharing.

Excellent word choices to illustrate the connection between the reflection of nature, and the poet.

This is serene and makes one yearn for the atmosphere and tone of such beauty.

Many thanks for sharing, Gypsy. :)
