dead silence
A eerie silences reigns after a battle, once the wounded have breathed their last, and all tactical and strategic aspects are forgotten.

Your satori...which included "dead" and "silence"
when coupled with "war" in your first line...well,
you've got a picture like the one you chose to
accompany this haiku.
Yeah, that's pretty much the vision of the future
that I see.

These words are sad, relieving, and creative. I found the last line of this poem thought provoking and caused me to think of the horror war
can cause. The artwork shows the disaster that war can cause and compliments the theme of this poem.

Very effective haiku Gypsy. The last line is absolutely perfect and the poem as a whole is eerily moving. It seems like a most believable description of the aftermath of the apocalypse so you chose exactly the right name too. Excellent work.
