The author's words are festive, enjoyable and creative. I liked the uplifting
words the author used throughout this poem. The poem flows and connects well. The artwork is great and compliments both the theme and words of this poem.

Your poem mentions many characteristics of the Irish with humour and honesty, and gives a picture of joy and fun overall - a celebration of life. Good wishes for the contest.

Your picture plus our words pair perfectly, Mystery Author. You did a good job with the contest. I enjoyed reading your entry. Your lines read well, there's good smooth flow, the repeated line in each verse fits in seamlessly, and you created great imagery. I could visualize everything your wrote. Thanks for sharing and best wishes.
Respectfully, Jan

It is fun to watch the celebrants on a typical St. Patrick?s Day. But our TWO parades were cancelled and few restaurants are serving Irish dishes inside. Many thanks for sharing my poem

This is a nicely written poem about st Patrick's day. It's quite the celebration for the Irish. We enjoy celebrating st Patrick's day here in Newfoundland too. My husbands and sisters birthday today. Good luck in the contest.

One would not think of celebrating St. Patrick's Day in Newfoundland, but I am delighted you do. Here in Chicago we normally have TWO parades, but both were cancelled because of the pandemic. However, the river was still dyed green. Many thanks for sharing my poem.

I enjoyed your poem. Normally they have a week long celebration for st paddy?s day here but because of COVID there wasn?t anything this year.
Comment from Mia Twysted
This piece is very light and fun-spirited. It pulls out traits of the day and of the Irish heritage that is displayed on this day. However, it seems a little bland. The tone, the words, don't jump out and take you. I can see a fair image of the day that is celebrated but feel like I am missing the spark to bring it fully to life. That being said the repeating of the first line holds the piece together offering the chance after chance to learn a little more.

Ah, Mia, I am sorry to disappoint you. I did forget to mention the wonderful food eaten on St. Patrick's day. Such mention might have made the poem less bland. Many thanks for your kind praise.
