Poet,

I really like this poem that you have composed for that prompt.
It flows along in a smooth manner and your free verse form is
done well.

Here is one stanza that I really like:

"I only drink one Budweiser,
it's not like I go like guns in blazing,
my mind thinks better,
I don't need a babysitter."

I doubt you need any warnings on this poem.
It might prevent some readers from viewing it.
That's my opinion.

Thanks for sharing about this fictional character who knows his limits and drinks only one beer. That kind of moderation is the best. Alcohol like beer and wine are not bad - it's overdrinking that is bad. Best wishes in the contest!

Drinking affects people in different ways, just as a combination of certain words strung together carefully and stored in the mind of the reader can bring on a form of intoxication. I got slightly tipsy on your words, but this was only one poem. Stay sober and write on.
