This is well written chapter. I know this a Hallmark type of story so, I going to let the PSA about the disrespecting at risk women by looking at girly magazines pass. Though, it is very hard to believe any man and teenage boy would have such a conversation in the real world. A mother and her son, yes, but not a man. Highly unlikely, unless he was a Bible guy.
For your story everything works well and is in keeping with the overall theme. A writer should not suddenly change gears.

I really want to believe that Gabriel is going to destroy the magazine. I am impressed with the progress he has made, but I also know that changing yourself into someone positive is not always an easy battle. Falling off the wagon is easy when something comes along to knock you off balance.

I like this chapter. You've touched on a subject that too often needs to be discussed with young teens, both boys and girls. It was nice of Gabriel to take on the role of enlightening Joshua.

I like Gabe, he's honest and helpful. Most men go through the Girlie Mag stage, some never get out of it, but most, like Gabe, see sense.
