You certainly did a great job with this, and so many excellent reviews. Everyone needs a place like Miller's Pond. You mention some of the attractions, like the robins, the cattails, a doe. One can really find peace in a place like this. I believe Michigan has been one of the states with the most severe restrictions. I hope with the vaccines now available that people can begin to relax. We still need those places like Miller's Pond so we can enjoy nature and its wonderful creatures. Very smooth work with the rhyme and flow. I'd appreciate a larger font, however. judi

    You are correct about Michigan and the governor's restrictions. I lost all respect for Gov. Whitmer months ago...

Oh this is just the kind of place I also love to go to escape the crowd. Well used to be crowds.

Beautiful imagery of a pristine location where all the glories of life with range of our emotions and senses.

I enjoy very much your poetic stylings on this one, Diane and as always a snapshot from your life.

Many thanks for sharing. :))

I liked reading this. My favorite part included very specific details in nature: Swift dragonflies dart in and out;
Scruffy cattails are everywhere.
Minnows and fish scurry about;
With each flash, a smiling prayer.

I watch as doe with fawn both drink
from cool water with cautious care.
Also, the turtles on the fat log make an interesting image.

Such a beautiful, timely poem. Thank you for sharing. Your words conjured a peaceful, vivid scene in my mind. I particularly enjoyed this:

"Yellow daffodils now appear;
Of spring's promise, few can compare.
They wash away dark winter's fear;
With each bloom, a joyful prayer."

Thanks again for sharing this, wishing you good health and hoping this pandemic is over soon!!

Diane,
I like the format of this poem about the beauty of spring and their calming effects on the soul. The half repeating line, at the end of each stanza shows the speakers mood and makes us feel that way,
You use good imagery,
Keep writing and stay healthy

Very Beautiful and Loving Prayer poem. I live in the Antelope Valley in California, and love the Mountains nearby, we also have many migration birds and seasonal flowers. Too far from deer but do get them and bears in our nearby mountains. Thanks for Sharing your Great Healing Prayer.

A very inspiring piece of poetry KT. Thought the vivid descriptions you used of nature along with your refrain of giving everything to God in prayer were very powerful in their sentiments. Great work with the writing of this wonderful poem.

Beautifully written poem reminding us that even when life isn't perfect there are still many creatures and circumstances that still bring us beauty and happiness that we still can thank the Lord for giving us. Great job!]

This is a beautiful poem and the words and pictures warm my heart. I really enjoyed the gentle tones of this poem and think, the world might be bad, at the moment, but nature and beauty still live on. Thank you for sharing and stay safe.
