of different music genres that I enjoy. WAR would fit into one of them.

Long playing records are not seen much these days, although my wife had a marvellous collection of LPs years ago, I'm pretty sure she's stacked them away somewhere. A great reminiscence of a bygone era, although people still collect them from dealers of vinyl. This is smoothly and deftly written, beautifully toned and the money rhyming is perfect for this contest, well done, good luck, blessings Roy

Music is powerful...it can open the heart to so many emotions.

I had to stop by when I saw the title. We (meaning my husband) has quite a few LP's and transcription discs. So it caught my attention and I am glad I stopped to read. Your last few stanzas particularly sum up how listening to an LP can be soothing, bring back memories, or excite your musical moment as you place the needle on the track.

You nicely described how an LP could be considered like "a part of time packed in some musical notes". It is hard to believe that by hearing we can travel in time... And music can be considered a muse to inspire us to write, same as happened with you here: You converted music into a poem!!
